A runner's ode

Running is more than just exercise - it's a proclamation of joy. Running says something powerful about those who find true happiness at 175 beats per minute. It brings a quiet confidence, knowing that you have a heart that pumps blood, lungs that suck fresh air, a mind that can overcome any obstacle and legs that do exactly what evolution meant them to do. And you intend to use them all. You are not at a desk or behind the wheel of a car. You are running. And when you're running, you are human. And that is pure joy.

It's not really original, I admit *guilty* I read it somewhere and it left an big impression on me. Although I don't think I rewrote it completely faithfully - I might have edited it somewhat.
