Interesting dance, salsa. Well, salsa actually seems to be a collective term for hybrids of various latin-american dances, including merengue, samba, rumba, cha-cha and mambo. What's fantastic about it is, it's not all that difficult to learn, it feels natural and it seem that as long as you stick to the rhythm of the music, you can do just about anything. Including playing the bongo drums on your partner's stomach...

"Meringue"?! I thought that was something edible.
Latin dancing sounds interesting, but I'm more the waltz/stately ballroom type ... there's something eternal (and yet incredibly fake and posing at the same time) about an 18th century ballroom full of slowly whirling couples.
We humans are suckers for mating rituals.
LOL, thanx GD, actually just before I checked in for comments, I briefly scanned the post, noted the typo, then saw there was a comment, and just knew it was you so kindly correcting my errors...
It's actually "merengue" and will be rectified ;-)
Btw, the foxtrot (a ballroom dance) is described as embodying "aristocratic nobility". So just your type then :p
What can I say? You know me too well. >stomps cowering serf on the neck<
