Sea, Sun & Flowers
The weekend past we had a little taste of the spring to come. It involved a visit to the West Coast, where we were warmly welcomed by Just-ify's folks and stunned by the array of wild flowers (mostly of the daisy family) decorating the road-side in the small community of Yzerfontein. *sigh* the laziness triggered by the fresh sea air is as inescapable as a whirlpool... *yawn, yawn... 15 secs... yawn*

However, we did test the water occasionally (freezing, for those interested) and toss a frisbee-like "flying ring" around a little... not very successfully due to the wind. Nothing like sea-sand between your toes, the smell of vrotting beach debris (yes, that is the smell we call "smell of the sea") and the sound of crashing waves interspersed with the caw of seagulls.
It was relaxing and entertaining listening to the tales told - it got me thinking to myself that if I have half that much cool stuff to tell when I'm at that point in my life... I'd wipe my forehead & pick up my glass of wine, crying out "Whew, what a ride!". It was one of those times where I felt like I've experienced so much, yet the best is only just beginning.
