Wine & women ('s Day)

Another slightly raucous weekend behind us (so what else is new). Friday night (4 Aug) involved a braai at Just-ify's place, where I met (properly this time) two of his good friends, very cool laid-back girls whom I quickly grew to like. Brief summary: fed three shots in succession upon my arrival, discussing breasts & hormones, watching a german soft porn movie starring Patricia Lewis & setting Just-ify's bed-lamp on fire. On Saturday brought a visit to the Stellenbosch Annual Wine Festival - wine, wine, cheese, oysters, delicacies & more wine... More than a few intoxicated individuals, many friendly faces and stealthy repossession of a number of wine-tasting glasses (22 to be exact) by Bonnie & Clyde. Plans for the evening involved quick munchies & then going out, but these were thwarted by a slip in Debonair's service provision - order pizza at 19h30, receive it 2.5 hours later. Made a vague attempt to head out, listened to Just-ify & Queery making cheeky jokes at my expense, but faded quickly & crawled into bed.

Wednesday being Women's Day, I left dance-class early on Tue night so as not to miss out on a braai at the girls' house (Just-ify's buddies). What started at the braai tornadoed into what we now simply refer to as a "big night". Somehow these days Just-ify seems to give me the blame for his getting "out of hand" :-) Anyway, the girls are fun to hang out with & we also met up with other friends of mine - Kuifie & Queery - in town. Our big night ended with a mock-charge towards Springbok (squashed by the pretentious entrance fee).

Women's Day was spent sleeping until 14h00, driving (moaning & groaning) to Strand for lunch at Spur (nothing like a double Goodie burger for hangover cure). "Maagie vol, ogies toe", Just-ify & I kept ourselves awake by one-for-one-ing Bushman's Hot Az Hell sauce - oh, the agony!!! Late lunch was followed by a stroll along the Strand flea-market, which led to the aquisition of a new toy. Which then resulted in the most amusing Woman's Day present ever: beebee gun - R25.00. Just-ify bending over & willingly allowing me to shoot him in the ass at ~3m range - PRICELESS!
