Revellations

Topic one: Chemistry - More specifically (for the science nerds out there) the exothermic reaction when reagent A and reagent B are brought together. Exothermic reaction = anything from slight heat production to full-on explosion. Fires can be lit in many places and can be extinguished with time & effort, but there's nothing that feeds a flame as much as the combination respect, honesty, trust, appreciation, acceptance, responsibility, affection, devotion and sharing a variety of similar interests. Add this concoction to the fuel and you get something inexplicably warm & beautiful: love.

Topic two: Questions - I've realised that while I like asking people questions about themselves, I'm not very good at answering those same questions myself. So I'm gonna try answer the questions I've asked people in the last week. Question 1, What makes you happy? A: music that suits my mood; my family; being with people I care about & that care about me; sharing experiences with these people; being held tightly & close; achieving things physically & academically; reading a really good book; dancing (most kinds); letting go & being myself (which I can't do with everyone); and seeing beautiful things or happy people. Question 2, What are you afraid of? A: Losing my parents; losing friends I thought I would be friends with always; hurting people I love; not achieving what I know I can; not having the one I love with me when I die (whether it's falling off a mountain now, illness next year or old age at 100); no-one ever knowing me as a whole; and someone knowing me too well.

Topic three: Mac Donald's - I know they were never the pioneers of nutritional value, but the pleasure gained used to be worth the occasional empty calories. However, they seem to have found a way to change more & more of the flavourful (or MSG-ful) protein content into bland carbohydrate (aka. bread). Oh well, at least the apple pie is still worth a little something. Steers here we come!
